How it Works

GPS’ groundbreaking technology is built on an in-depth understanding of our customers’ needs. Many other “sustainable” solutions don’t live up to their promises — they’re not fully compostable, compromise product quality, or simply add too much stress to a co-packer’s budget and distribution strategies. At GPS, we do things differently.


Our 100% BPI Certified commercially compostable capsules are made up of two layers:

  • Moisture barrier: A fully compostable skin layer.
  • Oxygen barrier: A fully compostable inner layer, featuring a G-polymer coating. 


We also supply supply BPI certified commercially lidding and filter paper. The result? Coffee and tea preserved to perfect freshness in a capsule that fully composts within 12 weeks. 


Other compostable coffee pods are made with a mono-layer that doesn’t offer the same level of freshness. Our multilayer technology is one-of-a-kind — a simple, uncompromising solution.
